Pastoral Counseling Mid-South provides certified pastoral counselors and licensed psychotherapists for congregations in the Mid-South area. This can be one of the congregation's most effective responses to individuals and families in the stormy seasons of living. The service provides an organic mission program for congregations, groups of congregations, or judicatories to utilize pastoral counseling in congregational outreach and healing service. A host congregation provides the facility and services for as few as four (4) hours or as many as 25 clinical hours per week. Supporting congregations partner to provide mission monies for low income individuals and families to receive attention. Pastoral Counseling Mid-South provides management, clinically trained personnel, policies and procedures, clinical forms, and professional liability insurance. Dr. James Coffman has 25 years of experience in directing pastoral counseling centers and working with congregations to integrate the ministry of pastoral counseling into the mission of local congregations. In addition to counseling services, personnel provide enrichment programs for religious education programming and consultation for leadership and congregations in conflict. Special attention can be given to the care of families and other interpersonal relationships.
