Dr. Coffman's administrative office is in Asylum, his home, on The Coffman Farm at 2112 Curve Woodville Road, Ripley, Tennessee 38063-8620. The office is within one (1) hour's drive of most locations in West Tennessee. To get to the office from Highway 51, take the Curve Nankipoo Road exit (between Gates and Ripley) and travel east on Curve Nankipoo Road, which becomes Curve Woodville Road when it crosses Highway 209. Traveling east on Curve Woodville Road takes one under the railroad trestle when leaving Curve The offfice is one and seven tenths (1.7) miles from the railroad trestle. (If using GPS, do not take the Cross Roads Cemetery Road from Highway 209; this road is permanently closed at the railroad.)
If coming from Highway 19 between Brownsville and Ripley, take the Nutbush exit of Highway 180 and travel west for eight (8) miles. HIghway 180 intersects with Toulon Road and Woodville Road. Exit Highway 180 by driving straight ahead on Woodville Road and do not take the northward turn of Highway 180 in front of the Maranatha Baptist Church. Drive past St. Luke Missionary Bapist Church and through Woodville.
Driving from Murray City and from Highway 88 (1 mile east of Gates) take Highway 180 southward through Forked Deere to the Maranatha Baptist Church and turn right on Woodville Road. Drive past St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and through Woodville to 2112 Curve Woodville Road.
The house and office are marked by the only white brick mailbox on the road. The numerals "2112" are on the sides of the mailbox. Park in front of the new house on the north side of Curve Woodville Road and enter the office waiting area through the single door under the breezeway and small porch at the south end of the house. An office sign is in front of the porch. If you have not completed the intake materials, please complete the intake forms when you arrive.
The Coffman Farm is in east-central Lauderdale County near the Crockett and Haywood County lines. Portions of the farm have been in the Coffman family for over one hundred (100) years. Part of the farm includes acerage from the Eylau Plantation, Lauderdale County's best known 19th century plantation and founded in 1827 by Dr. John Oldham. Dr. Coffman keeps office hours in Memphis. Telephone (901) 728-6525 for Memphis appointments. The office is at the St. John's Episcopal Church, 3245 Central Avenue, Memphis, 38111. Most will find an easy orientation to the location by thinking it as five (5) blocks West of the intersection of Highland and Central Avenue. Coming from the Highland intersection the Church is on the left where South Greer Street intersects with Central Avenue. The parking lot entrance is 20 yards to the east of the traffic light at Greer on Central Avenue. Park in the church parking light and come into the covered circular parking circle between the church building and the recreational building. Buzz the church office through the voice box to the right of Office Doors entrance to request entrance by identifying your coming for an appointment with Dr. Coffman. After entry, take the first hallway to the right to the elevator and come to the second floor. Take a right off the elevator to the Counseling Center. A large conference room just beyond the Counseling Office will accommodate you as the waiting area if Dr. Coffman is in session. He will greet you at the time of your appointment.
Incidentally for area orientation, the University of Memphis location begins east of the Highland and Central Avenue intersection, and Central Avenue transverses the University properties to dead-end into South Goodlett Street.
